One afternoon, I stood under a tall tree and looked up. The trunk was dark and quiet, but behind it, the leaves were shining with sunlight. It felt like the whole forest was breathing softly.
For a moment, I felt that this tree looked like a person who had lived through many things. It did not speak. It did not explain. It simply stood there, holding the light behind it.
In daily life, we often want to look bright all the time. We want people to see our success, our confidence, and our best side. But sometimes, we forget that even a dark trunk can be part of the light.
Maybe the parts of us that feel heavy are not useless. Maybe our quiet pain, our old worries, and our silent struggles are also helping us grow deeper roots.
When I looked at this tree, I suddenly understood something. Light does not always come from outside us. Sometimes, light appears when we keep standing, even after long seasons of wind and rain.
So when you feel tired, you just think, "I have stood through difficult days". When you feel unnoticed, you just think, "My quiet growth still matters". When you feel dark inside, you just think, "Light may already be growing behind me".
Life is not always about shining loudly. Sometimes life is a dark trunk, a green canopy, and sunlight breaking through thousands of small leaves.
